What an incredible journey it’s been!
For the past 6 ½ years, I’ve had an amazing time building up Alien3D. When I first discovered 3D printing, the community I found was the most supportive and collaborative one I’d ever experienced. Everyone was kind, helpful, and always ready to lend a hand. Although things have changed over the years, the spirit of innovation and fun still thrives.
Despite some challenges along the way, my passion and determination kept me moving forward. There were moments when the obstacles seemed impossible to overcome, but I refused to give up. The unwavering support from many of you has been a beacon of hope, even when it was given quietly.
Buying Maker Box a couple of years ago was an ambitious step meant to expand my horizons, even if it didn’t turn out as I had hoped. Nonetheless, every experience has been a valuable lesson, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
Today, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about Alien3D’s future. I believe I’ve found a fantastic opportunity for Alien3D to grow and flourish in ways I could only dream of. This new chapter involves me handing over the reins and allowing fresh energy and new perspectives to take the lead.
Alien3D is now part of the Cocoa Press family. Ellie, Matt, River and their incredible team will be taking over the reins of Alien3D and the subscription boxes. Starting with the December boxes, I’ll be working closely with them for a brief time to ensure a smooth transition and help them settle in. I have full confidence that they will bring even greater products and experiences to the subscribers, expanding your journey in 3D printing and STEM projects in ways I never could.
To all the current subscribers of the UFO/Maker Box/3D Printing Mystery box, I hope you continue to support Alien3D/CocoaPress as enthusiastically as you’ve supported me. And to past subscribers, I invite you to return and experience the exciting new direction under this new leadership. Over the past 6 ½ years, I’ve shipped over 25,000 orders – each one a testament to our shared adventure.
While this transition is bittersweet for me, as Alien3D is a project very close to my heart, I am eager to see how Cocoa Press will elevate the experience for everyone. I’ll remain active in the 3D printing community, contributing in different ways and cherishing the relationships I’ve built along the way.
