January 2022 UFO

It's a new year! I can't believe we're coming up on 4 years... 5 months away from the 48th UFO!

So... first UFO of the year and of course it's late lol. February UFO obviously will be late as well, but I'm hoping after that then we'll be back on schedule starting with the March  UFO. For those who don't know, I put the February project in the January box so hopefully most of you will be able to do the Valentine's project before Valentine's.

If you did not receive an email about the delays the last couple months, please be sure to check your spam folder and mark info@alien3d.us as not spam.

Filament Samples

All filament samples are at least 20 meters in length (actually more, I increased the length to eat up the extra filament being left behind on the rolls)

I had planned on doing an ALL GREEN box this month, but then when I decided to include the February project I swapped out a green for a red lol

Bonus Project!

Blooming Flower, Wifi Neopixels

The original project calls for single white LEDs, I instead opted for a NeoPixel ring so that you'd be able to control the colors of the lights in the flower.

UFO Includes:

  • ESP8266 Wifi Board + USB Cable
  • SG90 Motor
  • 8 Pixel Neopixel Ring
  • 5 M3 Nuts
  • 5 M3x6 Nuts
  • 10 M3x10 Bolts
  • 1 M3x30 Bolt

This of course required some modifications and since I dropped the change on Fernando last minute, which I've linked to his remix below.

Note, I didn't supply the wire but a 22 gauge bare copper wire works great and should be easy to source.

Check out Fernando and please thank him for taking on UFO project development for me!
