Over the next couple months we will be transitioning for all boxes, UFO/3D Mystery Box/Maker Box, to all be upgraded to 20 meter samples.
Filament Samples
Those looking for a sample spooler, MadMonkey designed this one and it's been my favorite so far https://www.printables.com/model/36621-expandable-sample-spool-holder
DSK has also made a sample spool specifically to fit the samples from the new machine: https://www.printables.com/model/428314-sample-spool-snap
Accessory
Pocket Multi-Tool
While browsing around, this little tool caught our eye and we thought that you all would really have fun with it. Since it arrived in our offices, we were surprised at the quality. It isn't the best tool out there, but as a useful fidget to carry around on your keys, its pretty fun. We hope you like it.

Project!
3D Printed Heat Insert Press
So many of us hesitate to do projects that require heat inserts because we've never done them before or because they just seem intimidating. I designed this project hoping that it would open up the doors to using these cool little things in your own projects.
The heat press kit is fully 3D printed, so we've given you the following items:
- a soldering iron
- a heat insert adapter tip
- 5 heat inserts
- 5 screws
Assembly is fairly easy, as you can see in this video:

This month’s box was a lot of fun! Sure, there was no programming or soldering (cue the tiny violin), but the build was still a good time. And the best part? Having to use the new tool to finish building the tool—it’s like a weird, nerdy rite of passage.
